In hospital now with Alexander; he’s here in Baptist Children’s Hospital, Rm 3038, for 5 – 10 days, to clear pneumonia and water from one quarter of his left lung. Will call you later. Kindly pray that all will be cleared. Many thanks.

Maggie and David Lyon update 3/22

Dear Friends,

Just to let you know that David remains in Critical Care Unit, on the respirator and is still not

awake from his surgery on Thursday. The pathology report is back and it verifies that it is cancer.

His kidneys have still not resumed functioning on their own so he will get his third Dialysis tomorrow.

God is still in control, so please pray for His will and that we will have the wisdom to make the

right decision regarding his future care.

My heartfelt thanks for the many offers of help and caring. It’s nice to have that kind of support.

Maggie and David Lyon update 3/19

Dear family,

I spoke to Maggie this afternoon and she told me that David is in Critical Unit in very serious conditions. He is under a respirator that is keeping him going now, also have several other complications such as kidney failure and more. The doctors are hopeful that this picture will change for the best and Maggie is in real good spirit trusting the Lord for whatever happens!!! Please, keep David in prayer since he never gained consiousness since surgery!!! Please support Maggie with your faithfull prayers!!!

Hable con Maggie esta tarde y me dijo que David esta en condiciones serias en la Unidad de Cuidados Criticos. En este momento esta bajo un respirador artificial y tiene varias complicaciones mas como falla de sus riñones y otras cositas. Los doctores esperan que este cuadro cambie para mejor y Maggie esta esperando en fe un cambio esperando en El Señor que sea su voluntad!!! Por favor, continuen orando por David ya que nunca recobro el conocimiento desde la cirugia!!! Por favor apoyen a Maggie con sus oraciones continuas!!!

Maggie and David Lyon Update 03/18

Dear family,

I spoke with Maggie Lyon tonight and she has asked me to let you all know that David after experiencing a few complications finaly had surgery to unblock his obstruction and everything came out fairly good. His family still can’t see it since he just got out of surgery but his doing well!! It seems it was partly ulcer and partly tumor but they won’t have any other news until the results comes back with proof!! Maggie thanks everyone for the continous prayer!!! Continue to pray for David’s fast recovery and for his Spiritual health as well!!!

Converse con Maggie Lyon hace unos minutos y me pidio que les dejara saber a todos que despues de algunas complicaciones finalmente David fue operado para desbloquear una obstrucion en los intestinos. Salio bastante bien de esta operacion aunque aun esta recuperandose y Maggie y sus hijos no lo han podido ver todavia. Los doctores le dijeron que la obtstrucion era debido a parte una ulcura y tambien un tumor. Hasta que regresen las pruebas de patologia no van a saber mas!!! Parece lo peor ha pasado y Maggie les da las gracias por su continuas oraciones!!! Continuemos orando por la recuperacion de David y por su salud espiritual tambien!!

Maggie Lyon: David Update

Dear Family in Christ,

Please accept our deepest appreciation for all your prayers. God does answer prayers, I know

because He answered some of mine this week. As you probably know, David experienced Kidney

Failure. When I left the hospital Saturday night, the Doctors told us that on Sunday they planned

to start David on dialysis. By Sunday morning, his clinical picture had shown some improvement so

the dialysis was put off as his kidneys had started to show some improvement and that has continued.

His blood clotting time has finally reached the point where they can operate to relieve the intestinal

obstruction that he entered the hospital for relief from. This Thursday, March 17 th, he will undergo

surgery for that. They still do not know what the obstruction is, and my prayer is that it is not more

cancer. God is still in control and I know that He has our best interest at heart so we will accept His

will, whatever that is. Our God is an awesome God!!! I trust Him completely.

Let’s pray for Marlene Menge who has a very rare desease or bacteria which decays her flesh it started in one of her legs. Doctors Marlene and family members are real worry since the doctors now plan to amputate her leg to stop this desease from spreading further. Oremos por Marlene Menge quien padece de una enfermedad bien rara que destruye su carne en una pierna. Los doctores no saben como tratar esta enfermedad y estan planeando amputar la pierna para parar esta enfermedad de regarse al resto del cuerpo. Los doctores, Marlene y su familias estan desvastado con esto que esta pasando.
